Is this book for mature readers?
Do any of you think that this book is for mature readers only? Why or why not? I think the Hunger Games is a book for readers of ages ten and up. First of all, this book has a medium reading level, and second of all, this book has some "scenes" that are gruesome.
I think Danny's right in saying this book is for ages ten and up. Maybe a little older, though (12 would be good). Younger kids could read the book, but they wouldn't fully understand nor appreciate it. It deals with an exceedingly disturbing envision for the future and also contains some gory scenes. I mean, the content and vocabulary aren't at such a high level, but the topics it deals with could be inappropriate for younger readers.
There r also some 'innaproppriate words'
