Effie!!!!!!

Effie was a fun character, and I would like to dedicate this comment section to her! What color hair should she get? How old is she? Come on! This is just for fun, so really say anything!

The Girl On Fire

Katniss was continuously reffered to as "the girl on fire". This title was given to her because of how well Cinna did on her fire-like costumes. When the fire cape/helmet costume was mentioned in the book, I could almost see it.

But what I began to realize was that this title matched her personality. Katniss had i firey heart, never giving up. I couldn't help but notice continuous relations between her title and her personality. And my favorite line in the ENTIRE series is (GIANT SPOILER!!!!!!!!) when Katniss is in the second arena and sees all the water.
"This is no place for a girl on fire."

The reason for the games

Throughout the book, the actual Hunger Games seem natural to the readers. But how did it all start? What inspired the Capitol to put such a terrible thing in their terms of winning the war? I don't understand why humans would do that. I thought the entire world agreed that the consentration camps and such were wrong! This is just snother version of that!

Another question is what is going on with the rest of the world? North America had allies, right? What happened to them? I'm sure that if our alliance crashed, we would find another! The other countries wouldn't just stand around watching these games for 75 years! Something had to happen in those 75 years! There weren't even many revolutions!

If there was a better explaination of these things in The Hunger Games, then maybe these questions wouldn't come up. But because these things weren't explained, we will have to wonder what was happening during this time! The Hunger Games just isn't realistic.

The Complicated Relationships of Katniss

In The Hunger Games, Katniss has deep feelings for Gale. She begins to recognize these feelings when her sister is suddenly drawn for the reapings. Katniss took Prim's place, and soonafter got in a complicated situation; she had to pretend to love Peeta to survive. When Katniss returned to district 12 after winning the games, she realized how hard it would be for her in this complicated situation.

Along with this complicated love life, she is being threatened by the Capitol and is FORCED to continue the relationship with Peeta. As this act goes on, it could only get more and more difficult to keep the secret, and to stay alvive. If this act failed, Katniss and many people she knew would be executed. And the scary part was she may have been out of the arena, but she was still at death's door.

Discuss the characters

If any of you have any thoughts about the characters, please post here. ANY character!!! Thank You! And I would love to hear stuff about Peeta, because he is just too nice, as i posted earlier.

And this would be the post to post all of your "random" comments", but don't go overboard with it! I don't wan some random "I like pizza" posts. Try to stay partially related to The Hunger Games.

I am only saying this because I don't want one-word answers like Katniss, Peeta, Cato, or something like that.

What's With Peeta?

In the book, Peeta seemed to like katniss a LOT! But his personality just seems off. there's no way somebody can be that nice, get rejected, and still be extremely nice!!! What do you guys think is going on? Or is Peeta just extremely nice like that?

Please take part in my poll to see why Peeta threw Katniss the bread. This is another mystery in the book, and I like to solve all of my mysteries. Thank you!
