The reason for the games

Throughout the book, the actual Hunger Games seem natural to the readers. But how did it all start? What inspired the Capitol to put such a terrible thing in their terms of winning the war? I don't understand why humans would do that. I thought the entire world agreed that the consentration camps and such were wrong! This is just snother version of that!

Another question is what is going on with the rest of the world? North America had allies, right? What happened to them? I'm sure that if our alliance crashed, we would find another! The other countries wouldn't just stand around watching these games for 75 years! Something had to happen in those 75 years! There weren't even many revolutions!

If there was a better explaination of these things in The Hunger Games, then maybe these questions wouldn't come up. But because these things weren't explained, we will have to wonder what was happening during this time! The Hunger Games just isn't realistic.

  4. I think that north america would nuke all of the other countries so they're the only ones left. It says in the summary "Post Nuclear War". That means that Panem might have attacked other countries, and the districts helped the other countries. So, in response, they started the hunger games

  5. I think alex is right. The other countries are gone for some reason. Or maybe the other countries are in sort of the same situation where there are some rich people living in some places and poor people in others. They probably cant help north america get better because they are trying to cleen up too.
