The Complicated Relationships of Katniss

In The Hunger Games, Katniss has deep feelings for Gale. She begins to recognize these feelings when her sister is suddenly drawn for the reapings. Katniss took Prim's place, and soonafter got in a complicated situation; she had to pretend to love Peeta to survive. When Katniss returned to district 12 after winning the games, she realized how hard it would be for her in this complicated situation.

Along with this complicated love life, she is being threatened by the Capitol and is FORCED to continue the relationship with Peeta. As this act goes on, it could only get more and more difficult to keep the secret, and to stay alvive. If this act failed, Katniss and many people she knew would be executed. And the scary part was she may have been out of the arena, but she was still at death's door.

  1. You really like the word "complicated" don't you? But anyway, I think it would be very difficult to be in Katniss' position, however her still being in danger even after winning the first games was what made the story remain interesting. If she just got out and lived happily ever after, there wouldn't be much point to the second and third books.
